We're excited to announce that Apex Erudition is open for business as of October 1st, 2025! As an official third-party training partner of Thunderhead Engineering, we'll be providing a variety of product training options to help you advance your career. You can choose from self-directed online courses, as well as remote and in-person training events.

Our mission is to 'Actualize Peak Knowledge' by providing hands-on simulation-based professional continuing education courses and training events to a global audience. We're dedicated to giving you the tools and information you need to excel in your field by leveraging the expertise of our instructors and subject matter experts.

Meet the FOUNDING instructor

Bryan Klein

As the Senior Support Engineer at Thunderhead Engineering, he offers technical support, sales expertise and product development planning. He has delivered training and guest lectures for PyroSim, Pathfinder, and Ventus.

For the Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE) he is an instructor and content developer. As a member of the SFPE Research Foundation's Board of Governors, he also serves as the Chair of the Technical Committee.

His past experience includes working at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) where he specialized in reconstructing fire incidents, and implemented best practices for the development of the Fire Dynamics Simulator (FDS) and (Smokeview) software.

Prior to NIST, he worked at Western Fire Center, Inc. (WFCi), providing expert witness for his fire modeling work, litigation support for fire loss cases, and managed the laboratory's quality assurance program.
